Benefits of Native Plants:

Low Maintenance

Native plants are adapted to available water resources. Therefore, they don’t demand as much water as non-native plants. This makes them drought resistant. They are also less likely to need fertilizer or pest control because native plants have a natural defense system.

Biodiversity

Native Plants are resources for some of our favorite backyard visitors. Hummingbirds, butterflies, and bumblebees all thrive when native plants are in abundance. These happy pollinators play a vital in role in our ecosystem.

Connection

Native plants are a small part of history. For instance, the iconic California Poppy. This beautiful flower is a recognizable symbol of California’s natural elements.  â€‹
